Manager, Events Management

The Manager, Events Management is responsible for implementing IPI’s marketing and communications plan with a key focus on generating leads for the different business units. He/she will concentrate largely on content creation and events planning, management and execution, which involves overseeing and managing events. He/she is expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan, promote, and execute both small and large-scale events. For content creation, he/she is expected to develop, design, write, edit and publish content in print and digital platforms for IPI to generate interest in events as well as for IPI in general.

Job Responsibilities:

Content Development

  • Create, edit and publish content for IPI’s print and digital platforms, e.g. website, electronic direct mailer, social media, newsletter, publications, etc., especially those in relation to events, to drive interest in IPI organized events and/or IPI
  • Conceptualise and develop key visuals (KVs) and backdrops for events
  • Lead and closely manage the editing, design and production of marketing collaterals and ensure alignment with brand guidelines
  • Execute, measure, review and report the results of all executed efforts

Event Management

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to plan, organise, manage, execute and support both small- and large-scale events
  • Own and develop the IPI’s events calendar, maintaining a 6-month oversight of events on IPI’s website
  • Conduct post-event report for all internal and external events organised by IPI
  • Create opportunities to generate revenue from events
  • Execute, measure, review and report the results of all executed efforts
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and make recommendations to improve IPI’s event strategy, processes, execution, etc.

Internal Communications

  • Plan, propose and implement initiatives, events and tools to support employee engagement and help them better understand IPI’s purpose, goals, portfolio and culture
  • Measure/track, review and report the effectiveness of efforts, showing trends and conclusions

Pre-requisites:

Prerequisites

  • Degree in Marketing or Communications-related field
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate/marketing/digital communications and event management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing and/or organising events with a scale of 1,000 or more delegates
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools preferred
  • Working knowledge in designing, photo and/or video editing applications (e.g. programmes within Adobe Creative Suite) preferred
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills
  • Resourceful, pro-active and meticulous
  • Independent self-starter who is able to work well with highly technical cross-disciplinary teams in a dynamic environment
  • Experience or interest in technology-related business is advantageous
  • Adaptable and able to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in Chinese language is a plus
