The BCA Green Mark scheme launched in 2005 formed the backbone of Singapore’s first Green Building Masterplan as it encouraged, enabled, and engaged industry stakeholders in adopting new green buildings. In recent years, and as part of the Singapore Green Plan 2030, the Singapore Green Building Masterplan (SGBMP) was rolled out in 2021 to encourage the Built Environment sector to contribute towards the 80-80-80 targets by 2030.

A recent public engagement survey conducted jointly by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC) highlighted that the future of green buildings should help to address climate change, enable better and smarter management of building operations, improve occupant comfort, and be cost-effective.

Organised by IPI, the “Creating a Sustainable Future with Green Buildings” event on 4 May 2023 will provide insights into some of the latest innovative technologies, resources, and co-development opportunities that support green building developments.
