Chia Wee Boon is currently an Advisor with Singtel. Bringing his operational experience, technology knowledge and capability, and capacity building know-how, Wee Boon works with Singtel’s associate company, AIS Thailand, on its enterprise business to advance the implementation of their business plans.
Wee Boon was the CEO at NCS, a subsidiary of Singtel and Singapore’s largest IT services provider. During his tenure, the company saw significant growth, transformation and shareholder value creation which resulted from digital transformation, culture change and product and service innovation.
Prior to NCS, Wee Boon spent 26 years at HP, where he held senior business, sales and marketing and operations executive positions in Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. He led the global strategic alliances initiatives in the last three years with HP.
Wee Boon was appointed IT industry Advisor to the Singapore government for the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity in 2016. In 2002, he was a member of a sub-committee within the Singapore Economic Review Committee.
He sits on the boards of Hope Technik, NAFA (Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts) and SIM, where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Studies from the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom (UK) and a Master of Science in Management Science from Imperial College, UK.
