Singapore-South Korea Joint R&D Call
KEY INFORMATION
Background/Description
Interested to co-innovate with a Korean partner? The Singapore-South Korea Joint R&D Call is now open! Jointly supported by EnterpriseSG and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), the call is open to projects from all sectors (except energy). Consortiums whose projects are approved will receive funding support for their joint project.
Projects from the following selected areas will also receive special focus:
- Advanced Manufacturing & Materials
- AI and Cybersecurity
- Healthtech, Life Sciences, and Precision Medicine
- Semiconductors
- Quantum Computing/Mechanics
- Smart Cities and Future Mobility

Technology Specification
The project consortium must involve at least one Singapore company and one Korean company, independent from each other. Each project partner should contribute no more than 70% of the total project contribution.
Under this programme, EnterpriseSG will support up to 70% of the Singapore company’s total qualifying project costs. To be eligible for support, the applicant must fulfil all of the following:
- Be a business entity that is registered and physically present in Singapore;
- Have ≥ 30% equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) / Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership; and
- Be financially able to see a project through to completion.

WHAT WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN
Projects that do not involve any co-development or R&D cooperation. Testing and validation of technologies without any co-development would also not be eligible.
