The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and IPI signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a closer bilateral relationship to promote and support innovation and enterprise development between Austria and Singapore. FFG and IPI will explore ways to assist technology enterprises to grow globally by fostering international partnerships through industrial R&D collaboration, commercialisation of joint projects and providing access to new markets.

"We are very pleased with this cooperation. It provides high-tech companies and research organisations from Singapore and Austria a stable institutional framework to build up R&D cooperation and fosters cross-border know-how transfer and technology matchmaking" said Dr Henrietta Egerth, CEO of FFG.

Dr Sze Tiam Lin, Director of IPI, said: “We are privileged to form a partnership with FFG the national funding agency for industrial research and development in Austria. FFG gives IPI access to FFG’s extensive network of enterprises and research community in Austria to match to Singapore-based enterprises and R&D collaborators. This will benefit both partners in promoting cross-border technology transfers, business collaborations and technology matchmakings.”
