On 21 June 2017, IPI co-organised a Technology Forum with 8power, a British start-up company with sensing and measurement technologies for industrial applications. Paul Egan, Vice President of Business Development from 8power, introduced an end-to-end ”Sensing as-a Service” to enable real-time asset intelligence. The featured technology from 8power is a self-powered wireless IoT sensor with potential applications across industries, including transportation, logistics, infrastructure, energy utilities and railways. Paul elaborated on the highlights and specifications of the sensors, and used case studies to illustrate the application areas of the sensors. The forum closed with an active networking session and the opportunity for interested attendees to engage in deeper discussions with 8power.
