The Finnish Smart Building Technology Matchmaking Event returned for its second edition on 4 April 2019 after a successful debut last year. Co-organisers IPI, the Helsinki Business Hub, the Embassy of Finland in Singapore, Kiradigi and Business Finland assembled a content-rich programme and brought together over 80 participants from Singapore and Finnish companies to explore technology collaboration.

Industry speakers from Lux Research and TNB Ventures provided insights into the latest industry trends and transformative technologies enabling the future of buildings, and shared collaboration opportunities under the Build Environment Accelerate to Market Programme (BEAMP) respectively. The audience responded favourably to the fast-paced pitch presentations by 10 Finnish companies offering innovative solutions in the areas of automation, artificial intelligence, IoT and robotics for the building and construction sector. Following the presentations, participants engaged the Finnish companies for further discussions during the networking session.

“We are very encouraged by the tremendous interest in the innovative smart building solutions offered by our Finnish companies, particularly in robotics, sensor technologies, smart building solutions and energy efficiency technologies, and appreciate the strong support from IPI in organising yet another successful technology matchmaking event. We look forward to drive greater collaboration between enterprises from Finland and Singapore,” said Irma Ylikangas, Senior Business Advisor from the Helsinki Business Hub.
