BIOGRAPHY

Dr Vivek Bhandari is the Director of Innovative Dairy Consultants Limited (IDCL) with more than 40 years of combined international experience working with dairy/food organisations in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, India, Middle East and Africa, from both private and public sectors. Vivek has a track record of success in developing new products on a commercial scale, enhancing the quality of existing products, and generating innovative ideas/concepts. He also authored the book, "Ice Cream Manufacture and Technology".

He provides consultancy to regional and global dairy/food organisations in the following areas: Product technology development for value added products such as UHT milk / beverages, UHT cream and related products, evaporated milk, condensed milk, bioactive powders, whiteners, nutritional powder blends, infant formula, bioactive beverages and fermented milks, UHT juices and related products, ice cream and related products, juice milk spreads/ flans, instant desserts, foodstuffs, bottled water, etc.; Product innovation and identification of new product development opportunities; Improvement of existing products and processes to increase companies' efficiency and profitability; Trouble shooting to solve problems related to product quality, processing technology or related activities; Development of vision and strategy for achieving their R&D goals.

Vivek holds a PhD in Dairy Technology from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, India.
