Current available rehabilitation devices are passive devices.

Completely paraplegic patient (SCI-A, T10) can walk with functional electrical stimulation(FES) and with a commercial, electromechanical exoskeletal robot. For example, a completely paraplegic patient (SCI-A, T8) with hybrid orthosis for the knee joint (FES+ pneumatically driven Mc Kibben muscle).

This new intelligent and dynamic device is made possible with the use of the anatomy and muscle structure of the patient through electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) and Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS).

We are changing from passive to active devices and eventually to "passive and smartification" towards better living.

 
 

TECHNOLOGY FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS

This technology is an intelligent and dynamic device which allows patients to have natural movements without walking assistances and complicated robotic drives.

This is made possible with the use of the anatomy and muscle structure of the patient through Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) and Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS).

Surface and obstacle recognition present in this technology is achieved using LIDAR systems. 

In this device, an intelligent "electronic leaf spring" supports the natural running pattern of users of this device. 

The fiber composite with integrated movement pattern and Intelligent material design ensures high functionality in the materials.
