TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW

Core body temperature is an important vital sign indicating the health status of a person. This technology offer is a wearable core body temperature sensor for continuous and non-invasive measurements. The miniaturized sensor is ideal for the integration into wearable devices and med-tech/health-tech devices with skin contact. Both stand-alone solution and integrated circuit (IC) level solutions are available.

TECHNOLOGY FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS

When using skin temperature sensors to measure the physiological body temperature, a key challenge is the influence from external thermal changes, e.g., going from a warm building into a cold environment, or when clothes cover the sensor.

This patented solution uses a heat flux sensor in combination with a reference skin temperature sensor to compensate for such thermal influences from the outside, resulting in the real body temperature signal when applying the temperature correlation algorithm as a licence. Thus, core body temperature measurements with this technology are highly accurate.
