Dissolvable microneedle is a micro-dimensioned innovative platform to enhance transdermal drug delivery of compounds in a painless manner. Generally, microneedle arrays, ranging from 100 to 1000 μm in height, are manufactured over patches. This platform was initially developed to overcome the skin barrier’s permeation limitation by physically creating micro dimensioned pores and delivering the encapsulated compounds into the body.
