TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW

Manuka oil, not to be confused with manuka honey, is extracted from the leaf of the New Zealand Mānuka super plant. It has strong gram-positive antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and antioxidant properties making it a potent, natural, botanical healing agent. It has traditionally been used for practical and medicinal applications.

The Manuka oil has effective properties on gram positive bacteria skin infections and others such as fungal infections, cold sores, ringworm, rhinitis and, inflammation. Compared to tea tree oil, the Manuka oil is 12 times more effective against P. Acnes, 2.7 times more effective against S. Aureus, and 1.7 times more effective against A. Strep.

This Manuka oil comes from a New Zealand company leading the development, production, and sustainable supply of Manuka oil. It can be formulated into various skin, hair, and oral, and pet care products.

TECHNOLOGY FEATURES & SPECIFICATIONS

The main active constituents of the Manuka essential oil are β-triketones, flavesone, Leptospermone, isoleptospermone, and grandiflorone, which give the oil its unique antimicrobial properties.

The levels of β-triketones vary depending on factors such as soil, climate, location, ecological environment, and seasonal variations. The company offers access to plants producing the highest levels growing naturally.

The distilled oil is independently tested and graded to determine the percentage of β-Triketones present.
