The mental health ecosystem must learn from the revolution in physical healthcare systems and infrastructure. Therapy, depression prevention chat-bots, meditation apps and similar services are the equivalent healthcare regime offered by healthcare institutions for mental wellbeing. These services are considered essential and cater to approximately 25% of the population.

Like physical fitness, it is time to build mental fitness for the other 75% of the population. This can include assimilating activities into everyone’s daily lives to stay positive and productive. Such mental fitness management are akin to a person’s conscientious efforts to check his/her weight to see if he/she is physically fit, and thereby act with appropriate actions to manage body fitness.

The technology provider creates the ‘weighing scale’ of mental health. The technology can intelligently prompt end users daily to reflect for a moment. Such nudges can be inviting end users to speak, write or take a quick five-question guided reflection. Based on the response, end users can check their daily joy-level weighing scale – a score on a scale of 10. With extreme privacy, the AI of the technology will guide end users to contextual suggestions which will help to make end users’ state of mind to be positive and productive. The technology provider is seeking collaborators with digital engagement systems or platforms for co-developing and integrating this technology to augment existing digital engagement strategies.

The technology provider has trained their AI around a contextual framework of emotions and behaviors, based on the science of wellbeing. If a person’s state of mind is recognized as ‘low self-image’, the technology will nudge him/her to ‘think of recent success and focus on his/her strengths’. These nudges will be presented in the form of text and short podcasts.

Based on the joy level weighing scale, the technology is able to contextually triage users to a customized set of services based on his/her use case. The technology provider anonymizes user data and presents dashboard of daily emotion health of end users.
