A world leading snacks company is seeking innovative soluble and insoluble dietary fibres that can be used in various food and snack formats to develop healthier products. These fibres should be natural ingredients that can be alternatives to and allow for the reduction of fats and sugars, while maintaining the taste and texture of the food and snacks.

Technical Specifications

The soluble and insoluble dietary fibres being sought should: 

  • Meet appropriate microbiological and toxin criteria for food
  • Be able to replace physical properties of sugars and fats in snack food products
  • Non-laxative
  • Be as close to natural state as possible and qualifies as clean label or kitchen level

Possible approaches include (and are not limited to):

  • Extracts or co-products, such as from agricultural streams
  • Compound or composite materials
