The average lifespan of people is rising – mainly due to advances in healthcare – and many 60-year-olds can expect a further 25 years of healthy life. As we age, our bodies go through a number of changes which are determined by a range of factors including genetic predisposition, environmental factors, diet, exposure to micro-organisms, pollutants and ionising radiation. These factors mean that our biological (or metabolic age) can be significantly different to our chronological age, which is why people of the same age vary both in physical appearance and physiology.
A Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Multinational Corporation (MNC), is seeking products or technologies to help recognise the signals of ageing, to help consumers recognise age-related health issues early and help prevent or manage their symptoms or causes.
We're looking for solutions targeting the general population above 50 years old and managing a range of age-related health issues such as Heart Health (Dyslipidemia and Hypertension), Diabetes (Pre-Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes), collectively Metabolic Syndrome, Bone Health, Sleep, Mental Wellbeing and Sexual Health.
Solutions are intended for consumer use and could take the following forms:
The commercialisation timeline of the solution should not exceed 5 years.
