Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform technology, competitive and market research to support decision-making in the commercialisation process
  • Conduct research to identify new technologies and innovations to support enterprises to develop new or enhanced products and services through technology and innovation
  • Source and review relevant technology opportunities or technical experts globally to support enterprise innovation needs.
  • Undertake research to identify new and emerging opportunities in agritech, aquatech, design and technology innovation to catalyse growth in these sectors

Pre-requisites:
  • Degree or postgraduate degree in Engineering, majoring in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Renaissance Engineering Programme from NTU.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Platforms, you will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design prototype web pages and mobile applications with specific functions which include:
    • Gather user requirements
    • Create prototype workflows
    • Develop web pages and conduct functionality test on various concepts
    • Troubleshooting and enhancement
  • Create Innovation Challenge Landing Pages using IPI System
    • Set up web-pages for Challenge landing pages using HTML
    • Update website for Challenge landing pages
  • System administration to ensure that systems are running smoothly, enquiries addressed and routed to the relevant parties for follow up
  • Vendor management and IT support services
  • Ad hoc projects such as improving efficiency through the use of technology e.g. Robotic Process Automation
Pre-requisites:
  • Degree in Computer Science or IT related field
  • 1-2 years’ experience building web pages using HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • 1-2 years’ experience developing web applications using .NET, Java, ASP, PHP, or similar language

Reporting to the Head, you will work closely with the management of local enterprises to understand and scope the technology challenges that they encounter in their businesses. You will then collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in IPI to address these challenges by identifying suitable technologies, intellectual property (IP) and experts through IPI’s global innovation network. 

In addition, you will work with the team in conducting extensive research to identify emerging technology/market trends. The role will require you to engage various stakeholders such as industry, local innovation and enterprise offices, government agencies and trade organisations to catalyse the adoption of technologies to actualise industry transformation.
