Christabel is a highly experienced professional with great drive and thorough knowledge in food and beverage including plant-based meat & seafood, savory, sweet, food ingredients, food additives and flavorings. She is an industry veteran with experience in industrial ingredients and food services in FMCG and multiple food & beverage companies. She is proficient in managing lab and pilot plant equipment needs within budget to improve the ability to execute technical projects within the segment and creation groups. In addition, she has varied experience in managing financial accountability and the people responsibility along with managing regional global accounts and operations that uplift sales to facilitate tactile growth to create values for shareholders. She is also an excellent Regional Sales and Marketing leader leading with in-depth technical product knowledge and extensive exposure in engaging and connecting with top executives of MNCs globally.
Christabel has been the Senior Vice President of R&D at Growthwell Group for the past 3 years, setting up the R&D and pilot plant facilities and was responsible for strategic innovation and development of safe, reliable, nutritious, and tasty plant-based milk, meat and seafood products.
Prior to joining Growthwell Foods, she was the Head of R&D at Hai’s, responsible for the setting up of their R&D facilities and driving strategic innovation strategies and led the development of the brand’s award-winning premium collection of specialty products, catering to retail, export, and key restaurant chains.
Christabel began her career with Nestlé R&D Center Singapore and Nestle Food Ingredients Specialties (FIS), and spent over 20 years with the company. Prior to moving on to her next challenge, she was Country Manager where she oversaw the financial growth and operations of the country.
