Shaun Smithson

Shaun Smithson is Managing Partner of Lightwheel Advisors, an ESG Advisory firm founded in 2022, focused on helping boards, businesses and leaders drive impactful change through their actions.  Lightwheel Advisors is a Singapore-based company that works at a global level and uses insights, experience and metrics to help right-size an ESG approach for businesses to start and continue with their best foot forward.

Shaun comes to Lightwheel from TiffinLabs, where he co-founded the digital brand and food delivery start up in 2019 after he relocated from New York.  He was responsible for creating and supporting the operational, supply chain and R&D functions for the company and later expanding the business into the US. 

He has held prior roles as the Chief Executive Officer with the Fig and Olive Restaurants and The Luxury Dining Group, B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group where he was Senior Vice President of Operations. He has also held senior roles with Sodexo, Choice Hotels International, and Hilton Worldwide.  Shaun’s early career was focused on operations and general management across the food and beverage and hospitality industries.

Shaun received his culinary training through the Disney Culinary Apprenticeship at Walt Disney World and gained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Empire State College. He also holds a Global Master’s in Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He is a member of the Thunderbird Global Alumni Network and sits on the boards of the Free Food for All charity in Singapore and the Take Group in Hong Kong.  Shaun is a former board Member of the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Washington Tennis and Education Foundation.

Shaun lives with his wife, daughter and their four dogs in Singapore.
