IPI, participated in a panel discussion hosted by Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) on 28 May 2015. Titled “Accelerating the transfer of Low Carbon Technologies in the USD 2.5 trillion dollar Asian Cleantech Market”, Dr Sze Tiam Lin, Director gave a brief introduction on IPI before sharing on past and recent examples of low carbon technologies that IPI has assisted in commercialising, as well as the criteria for evaluating new technologies for commercialisation.

Some of the panel discussion’s highlights include: the issues faced by companies in developing new business idea specifically in the clean technology sector, a comparison between Singapore and the Silicon Valley’s start-up landscape, and the types of Singapore government support on commercialisation of technology beyond Proof-of-Value funding.

IPI joined SEAS as a corporate member in 2014. Since then, IPI has been working very closely with SEAS in sharing of technology offers from its pool of global technology partners as well as sourcing for suitable technologies and partners for SEAS members.
