Warehouse Robot-Agnostic Controller
With increasing reliance on robots within 4 walled environments for picking and the like, the task of the robotics fleet has increased significantly in difficulty. Traditional robotics fleet management systems are system-dependent and do not account for dynamic changes on the ground. This technology offer presents a robot agnostic system that allows for superior fleet optimization for warehouse robots in route planning, job allocation and decision making in potential gridlock situations. With past applications for fleets of 2 to over 100 robots in size in warehouses carrying fast-moving items to semiconductor manufacturing facilities, the robot controller has outperformed OEM robot fleet management software in excess of 40% in total job-completion times. Additional simulation function of the robot controller allows non-robot and robot users alike to determine how many robots to purchase for their fleet according to layout and volumes of current and future facility.
Method to Improve PV System Performance Monitoring
Within the solar energy industry, there is a general motto of "install it and forget it " for solar energy. This idea is largely derived from the research and reliability studies performed on the PV panels themselves but not the PV system as a whole (including inverters and other components). Other PV system components such as inverters contribute to a significant amount of power loss and the losses may vary based on different models of inverters. This technology relates to a method that can reduce measurement errors and achieve normalization among inverters used in PV systems in line with Class A of the updated IEC 61724-1 standard  With this method, the inverter-induced error can be reduced by up to 4.46%. The technology owner is looking for licensing partners to commercialize the test method.
Wireless Monitoring of the Muscle Blood Flow in Low Back Pain Population
Prolonged sitting has been identified as one of the risk factors associated with lower back pain (LBP). Slumped sitting posture, commonly observed in daily activities, results in spine flexion and increases the erector spinae (ES) muscle activity. This in turn elevates the joint compressive forces and the intra-muscular pressure, disrupting ES muscle blood flow and muscle oxygenation. Association has been established between muscle blood flow and fatigue. The near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is commonly used to measure muscle oxygenation. This non-invasive technology is commonly used by researchers due to its high accuracy. It is based on the absorption of near infrared light between the oxygenated and non-oxygenated hemoglobin and myoglobin. However, this is not well applicable in clinical settings due to its high costs and bulkiness.
Secure Scalable IoT Computing Platform
The widespread adoption of the Internet-of-Things (IoT) resulted in large scale deployments of connected sensors and controllers. A disparate array of options were available to make the connected systems work. But this also introduced new problems in building any real production level system that is secure and scalable at the same time. It has been reported that the majority of the IoT systems today are highly vulnerable to cyber-attacks. The fast growth and adoption of public cloud systems offered new possibilities. The multitude of sensor types that need to be connected and the complexities of architecting the cloud services has slowed down the transition. Security and privacy are primary concerns when data leaves customers premises to a cloud platform. Scalability is essential for the capacity growth of a service platform in terms of an increasing number of customers and growing customers data. Availability of system round the clock throughout the year while maintaining cost-effectiveness necessitates the need for the right choice of redundancies and application capabilities. IoT platform primarily based on public cloud services to simplify the process of onboarding any IoT device or system. The platform makes use of existing public cloud services, on-prem private cloud infrastructures, the micro-services architecture and the tech owner's experience in identifying the most common patterns for specific industrial applications. Security is considered as an intrinsic component of the ecosystem in the design and they had taken thorough steps to make sure that there are no single weak failure points in the complete system.
End-to-end UWB/BLE Based Indoor Location Tracking Solution
Our Location Tracking solution enables companies in manufacturing, logistics and healthcare to streamline their operations and increase their product quality through Reduce searching and assembly time by locating tools with 30cm accuracy Improved visibility on work order status and location to identify bottlenecks in real-time and avoid delays Streamline intralogistics flow by optimising material handling equipment's motion and increasing their utilization rates. For example, we help hospitals to track medical equipment, to monitor the flow of patients, and to guide visitors. We help factories to automate supply chain decisions, to locate tools/equipment, to analyse intralogistics flows. Finally, we help retail clients for self-service and delivery, such as table service in fast-food restaurants. Overall, we help B2B clients in several sectors to reduce their operational 'waste' by minimally 20%.
