Anti-Nematodes Bioproduct from Fungi Strain
Plant parasitic nematodes are a serious issue in agriculture as it affects productivity and yield of crops. This results in crop loss worth millions of dollars annually. Agrochemical is used heavily to control plant disease. However, the use of these expensive and toxic chemical can lead to contamination and potentially increase the resistance of pest. Biopesticides are biological or biologically-derived agents, usually applied in a similar manner as a chemical pesticide, but are generally more environmentally friendly.This technology uses a fungus strain (Duddingtonia flagrans) which is effective in a natural condition and has proved its high nematophagous activity. It is effective and safe to be used in agriculture for improving soil fertility and control of parasitic nematodes of plants. The tech partner has developed a quick and safe method of production using the fungi strain to obtain the anti-nematodes bioproduct. 
Biocorrector for Biorhythm Deviation
Chronobiology is a relatively new field of science which studies the periodic phenomena in living organism. These biological rhythms can be found in almost all species and are believed to be an evolutionary adaptation to cyclical variations of the environment.  Some examples of how this chronobiology affects us include hormones being released based on the impulse of our inner clock and thus affecting our body functions, i.e. our body temperature decreases during sleep and our blood pressure rises as we wake up.Research has found that deviation to the biorhythms from the normal state leads to various diseases, collectively known as pathological desynchronization. Treatment for the pathological synchronization to restore the disturbed biological process can be done through the use of pharmaceutical drugs, as well as the use of chronophysiotherapy to normalize the biorhythm. However, there have been no physiotherapeutic products available on the market for pathological desynchronization.The technology partner has developed a biocorrector in the form of a chronomagnetic complex. This can be used in therapeutic institutions for correction of the deviation in the biorhythm of sick tissues.

Rapid and Cost Effective Multiplex Disease Detection Kit for Shrimps
HRM technology is based on the dissociation behavior of dsDNA due to increasing temperature.  It begins with PCR amplification of the region of interest in the presence of double stranded DNA binding dye followed by a melting curve.   Since PCR products can be discriminated according to sequence, length, GC content, HRM can offer high multiplexing ability over conventional PCR and real-time PCR. Currently shrimp pathogens are detected using real-time PCR assay using Taqman probes which are expensive.  Conventional PCR method is time consuming and tedious and it needs post PCR processing to see results which will also result in loss of sensitivity. Currently, all diagnostics tests are on monoplex format which can detect only single pathogen at any given time, thus in cases like co-infection, five tests are required which takes long turnaround time and can be very expensive.  This can discourage farmers from performing test for their stocks management. Our novel HRM based assay for shrimp pathogens is simple, rapid and cost-effective for simultaneous detection of multiple shrimp pathogens (WSSV, IHHNV, MBV and NHPB) and has a great potential for high throughput screening assay for shrimp aquaculture industry.
Modular Bipolar Plate for Redox Flow Battery
With the wide deployment of renewable energy harvesting devices, such as solar cells and wind turbines, there is an urgency to develop high efficiency and economical energy storage systems to stabilize the intermittent and often unpredictable primary power sources before the power can be channelled to the grid safely or utilized for on-site loads. Redox flow batteries (RFBs) are regarded as promising electrochemical energy storage devices due to their special features of separable energy and power capacity. However, redox flow batteries tend to have lower energy densities than integrated cell architectures. Many approaches have been studied to improve the energy efficiency of RFBs. Among them, reducing shunt current loss and other parasitic loss is of great importance. This invention is capable of minimizing the shunt current in a redox flow battery through increasing the conductive path that exists between adjacent cells, without increasing maintenance cost or assembly complexity.
Meeting Stringent Fire Safety Standards with a New Eco-Benign Polymer/Enabler
Inorganic Polymer Aqueous Solution (IPAS) technology is more than just a flame retardant (FR). Conventional FR incorporated materials, when exposed to fire, burn and diminish once the source is removed. These agents merely improve resistance to ignition and they slow down flame spread with limited incombustible capabilities. Smoke generation is another concern. To this end, IPAS technology provides absolute fire insulation via an oxygen barrier without posing any harm to humans and the environment.   While conventional FR systems may fulfill statutory fire safety requirements, they come under scrutiny from various agencies for their environmental and health hazards. Furthermore, FR industry had a tainted history of substituting one toxin with another, when faced with claims of undesirable side effects. In response, new non-toxic nano-materials have been developed, showing great potential towards fire/flame resistance on the laboratory scale. However, there are workplace safety concerns regarding long-term contact with nano-particles and their present cost is prohibitive. All these factors inhibit their uptake in commercial FR applications. IPAS technology addresses these problems.   As an eco-benign FR enabler, only readily available and renewable inorganic ingredients are used, which makes fire protection eco-friendly, sustainable and cost effective. Being an adaptable product that can take on multiple forms (liquid, powder, etc.), it can be incorporated as the main component of many FR systems, namely - wood, textile, paper, metal and plastics, providing exceptional fire/thermal resistance—incombustibility—with no harmful vapour emissions. This technology can be easily scaled-up, to greatly improve the safety of lives and assets.
Rapid Diagnosis of Bacterial Sepsis Using a Plasmonic Sensor Based POC System
Nanotechnology and microfluidics are incorporated in the point-of-care (POC) system to enhance the detection sensitivity and reduce the amount of blood sample needed. Compared to existing methods being used in the healthcare industry, this system is faster and more compact, thereby enabling it to perform point-of-care detection at well-planned locations, such as at doctor’s office or hospital accident & emergency (A&E) department to deliver instant results, or at rural areas where medical resources are limited.

Mushrooms are widely used as food and health supplements since ancient times. They carry substantial quantities of proteins, polysaccharides, bioactive compounds, and minerals, having health promoting properties such as anti-tumor, antimicrobial and immunomodulation.The researchers have identified a few novel mushrooms with high content of anti-aging and skin-lightening compounds and cosmetics products were developed out of such mushroom extracts. These mushroom-based cosmetics products combine the nutritional and medicinal values of these mushrooms. They carry no heavy metals and have no side effects to skins.
